We need an Urban Farmer!!!!


Cityblooms Santa Cruz is seeking a to fill a part time position at its hydroponic farm in Santa Cruz.


Job Description:

-Seeding, transplanting, and harvesting of crops.

-Equipment cleaning and sanitation (a lot of this!)

- Site and equipment maintenance tasks.


Job specifics:

-Approximately 15 hrs/ week.

- Mandatory times: Mondays 8:45 AM – 2:00PM. Wednesdays 8:45 – 2:00PM

- Remaining 4-6 hours/ week on flexible schedule.

-$17/hr. starting wage.


Desired Experience and Attributes:

-Zealous attention to detail and cleanliness.

-Good with record keeping.

-Experience with hydroponics a bonus but not necessary.

-Good with people and capable of being a positive representative of our company.

In 2014, Cityblooms began operating its multi-cluster hydroponic farm at the Plantronics Inc. headquarters supplying biweekly deliveries of produce to the Bon Appétit-operated cafeteria. In 2015, the Plantronics installation was awarded the Acterra Business Environmental award in the environmental project category. The company has now expanded operations to its second corporate campus at a major Silicon Valley tech company and is looking to expand into new projects in the Bay Area. Every person at Cityblooms has an inherent passion and driven spirit and it isn’t enough to be able to do the job; we are looking for people that color outside the lines and dream big!
